Double-stranded RNA

Double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) is RNA with two complementary strands, similar to DNA found in all cells. dsRNA forms the genetic material of some viruses (double stranded RNA). Double-stranded RNA, as viral RNA or siRNA can trigger RNAi in eukaryotes, and the interferon response in vertebrates. [51] [52] [53]
